Which Section Organizes, Assigns, And Supervises Tactical Response Resources?

The Operations Section is the ICS section that organizes, assigns, and supervises tactical response resources.

As the FEMA IS-100.C Instructor Guide explains, the Operations Section “conducts response activities such as search and rescue, and coordinates medical services being provided to disaster survivors“.

For example, in a wildfire incident, the Operations Section would organize firefighting resources, assign them to different areas of the fire, and supervise their activities to ensure the fire is effectively controlled.
